5 Tips for More Customer Reviews

Customer reviews are an important part of building your online reputation.

Here are 5 tips to generate more reviews.

1--Find the Right Time

Sometimes ‘when’ is just as important as ‘what.’ be sure to ask for reviews or testimonials when your customer is most likely to share a positive experience. For example, when someone re-orders a product, they’re likely feeling good about your brand.

2--Use Your Website

Make sure it’s as simple as possible for your customers to share their experiences. They’re already engaging with you, so why not make it easy to share the love while your brand is top of mind.

3--Always Respond

It’s important to continue to engage with your customers after they have left a review. Even if the feedback was negative (bummer), these responses are impactful touch points that could leave someone feeling better about their experience, soften their frustration, or show others that you do care about the experience of each and every customer.

4--Leverage Email

Tap into your email strategy, which is already meant to connect with consumers at key points in their experience with your brand. Why not use this opportunity to check in? For example, post-purchase emails provide the opportunity to thank a customer for their business as well as solicit their feedback.

5--Promote Reviews

Now that you have them, make sure you’re using them. People typically trust hearing about brands from other people more than hearing from the brand itself, so sharing on your website and on social media can bring in new business and encourage others to share their feedback too.
